The Battle of Britain – “Their Finest Hour”

Lately, I have been very much interested in the mini-series “The Band Of Brothers”, it’s amazing to be able to see what these men went through to give us our freedom and for that, I want to thank each and everyone that have, are and will serve in the military and help keep the peace and the freedom we have to worship God in our Country.

In the last scene of “The Last Patrol” episode, Webster asked a question that goes somewhat like this “Will people back home ever know how much it has cost the soldiers that have fought the war?….” Although we will never know, we can have a small idea and should remember the ones that have given up their lives in order for us to have that freedom and peace.

13″Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”

John 15:13

My interest in the miniseries sparked the desire to find out more about Canada’s involvement during WW2, it just so happen that this month celebrate the 70th anniversary of  a battle that kept the Britain from total obliteration from the enemy. Find out more here “The Battle of Britain”.

So let us remember these men and their sacrifices and thank our God for keeping us safe!

“Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” – Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister 1940
